Missouri Storms

stormOne of the many things I love about living in Kansas City are the storms. The clouds and lightning and motion of them are so intense that it draws people to them like bugs to a bug zapper. When a storm is approaching I find myself acting like a kid in a candy store, completely in awe of how God can paint such a moving work of art time and time again, and each time totally recreate that sense of awe in me.

I can’t wait for the next storm to come when I can sit out in front of the missions base with the dozens of others doing the same, watch the storm approach andspeculate as to whether there will be a tornado formed.

It is especially spectacular when lightning starts. There was a storm a few days ago where the lightning was going off every 2 seconds, literally. Streaks of lightning flying across the sky, making nighttime look like day. Our God is truly amazing.

Those look pretty sweet. I think I would like to be able to experience that kind of storm.

    Beautiful.
