Kingdom Come - Day 1

Filed under: Blogging, Christianity, Family, Prayer

Today started day 1 of 5 days of Alien Children. Yes Stephanie and I have jumped into a conference and are leading worship and teaching for kids ages 6-12. Kids are crazy and today I found that to be extremely wonderful. They are so willing to just have a great time. We were singing a song and it got to a part that was really pumping and I just started jumping because the song was really exciting (also to see if the kids would jump too), and just about every kid in the place started jumping. Then every time we got to that part of the song again that was the “jumping part” of the song. Then seeing kids close their eyes and sing their heart out to Jesus was just amazing.

Another cool thing that has started happening recently that happened again last night was that before the children got there David was with us, so we were going to start praying. David wanted to be the prayer leader so he started praying for the service and the children, and we started singing prayers after he would finish. It got to the point where after he would pray he would point to Stephanie to sing, then point to me to sing, then point again to Stephanie and so on. It was so cute, I was so proud. He went from praying for this day, 3,000 bats, abortion, healing, the children, to finally praying that the children would be silly. It was a fun night.

Word explosion?? There was no address, conference info or anything on that webpage… and it looked like a highschooler made that page and got a C+ on it.

3000 bats? Sounds awesome. That’s where it’s at, seeing young kids get after it. Gives me hope.
