IHOP KC Update!

IHOP Sign As you can tell by the lack of posts lately, we have been somewhat busy the past few week. Some things have transpired that have taken up a huge chunk of our time, leaving us with not much to spare. So this post is to bring you (my readers) up to date with the happenings of the Parker family.

Our House in KC We have found a house! We left for KC in pursuit of finding a home this past weekend. We have scoured Kansas City and found a home, and we made an offer. We heard back on the Tuesday that our offer was accepted and we close on our house in KC July 31st. It’s hard enough to find a house in a short amount of a time, but for Stephanie and I to agree 100% on the house that we both love was amazing. Map God knew the house we would be living in and had it already picked out before we ever moved to KC. We just had to go find it.

We didn’t get much time in KC to do much, but we did apply to Intro to IHOP while we were up there as well as get to hang out with our amazing friends Samuel and Allison. If you guys know them you should tell them how great they are (like they don’t already hear it enough I’m sure).

We did get to visit the prayer room some, but not as much as I’d like. But that will soon change in August.

That’s great man, I’m glad to hear you guys found what you wanted/were looking for.

While you’re there, I must say that I expect to see photos from a few Chief games… Go Chiefs! Make sure David gets a jersey.

Oh man, just seein pictures makes me want to go! I’m genuinely happy for you guys! I wish I could’ve had more time to get to know you both, and I’m still holding you to those drum lessons one day, but you and Stephanie both have been a huge influence on me ever since I met you. I remember first coming to IHOP and seeing you singing your hearts out and it left an impression. I’ll be praying for yal.

    Hey Guys,

You have been a tremendous blessing to me in the short time that I’ve known you. I know God has a marvelous destiny for the two. I pray that as you go He will continue to show. Walking on water is not always easy but keep your eyes on Jesus and He will not let you drown.

How come this does not make me as happy as everyone else? It has to be the grandchildren going so far away, that must be it.

Really I am so proud of you and know that God has all of your future in the palm of His hand. Rest in Him, knowing that He will lead and guide you.

And David has already invited me to come play in the snow with him.

I must say I agree a little with Janice. Even though in my flesh I am selfishly less than thrilled at this latest turn of events, I am also excited for all that you guys are walking into. It’s going to be great!

Dude, this looks like the house the Vorans moved into in Kansas City about 5 years ago. The photo was from the same angle and everything. Weird!
