It’s Not Too Late…

It is a new year, 2007, the beginning of many things new and the continuation of many things old. And with the bringing in of the new year before new semesters start, jobs get fully back into motion, and we get settled back into the routine; lets not continue to be the same as we were last year. Aim for something higher this year. Set some goals for your life in God and begin to put them in motion on a daily basis.

One of the things I’m looking at this year in creating my goals is filtering all of my goals, desires and plans through the lense of eternity and God’s will. Because we all have desires and longings that have been placed within us by God. And I want the steps I take this year to be toward knowing God’s desire for my life specifically and the more I find out about what He wants for me, the more I want to cooperate with Him. My goals should come out of the desires and longings He has placed within me personally. Not just what other people say your goals should be.

Dictionary.com defines the word goal as “the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; aim; end.”

Maybe some of your goals are on the “world’s most popular goals” list. Maybe they are in your head and just not written down, maybe they are not.

But I think it was Dave Ramsey who said “If you aim for nothing, you’ll hit it every time.”
